Welcome to a very special part of London.

The Hyde Park Estate is bounded by Bayswater Road, the North of Praed Street, Westbourne Terrace and Edgware Road. It borders Hyde Park and is within walking distance of the West End. Here is a residential area which affords an unequalled quality of life.

The Hyde Park Estate Association was registered in 1952 to protect the architectural heritage, amenities and overall tranquillity of the local environment. It is an Amenity Society registered with Westminster City Council.

The issues the HPEA is most focused on are:
• Transport, with an aim to redirect non-residential commercial
vehicles rat-running through the area to limit the resulting air and
noise pollution and impact on pedestrian safety
• Working closely with police to identify crime, especially antisocial
behaviour, theft, vice, physical and property crimes
• Planning, to maintain the heritage and character of the area
• Fly-tipping
• Short-letting
• Prostitution, vagrants and beggars who are brought to the area for this purpose.

Many of these are discussed at our monthly pub evenings on the
third Tuesday of the month at The Victoria pub, between Sussex
Place and Hyde Park Square.
