The issues affecting us

There are a number of issues that impact on our neighbourhood everyday. The issues the HPEA is most focused on are:

  • Transport, with an aim to redirect non-residential commercial vehicles rat-running through the area to limit the resulting air and noise pollution and impact on pedestrian safety

  • Working closely with police to identify crime, especially antisocial behaviour, theft, vice, physical and property crimes Planning, to maintain the heritage and character of the area

  • Fly-tipping

  • Short-letting

  • Prostitution, vagrants and beggars who are brought to the area for this purpose.

Many of these are discussed at our monthly pub evenings on the third Tuesday of the month at The Victoria pub, between Sussex Place and Hyde Park Square.
