Connaught Village Art Month, now under way, is taking place in local galleries and auction house Lyon & Turnbull, where a Faberge egg is on display as part of a Rare Jewellery sale.
Local artist Tony Heywood, familiar to many from his days overseeing the Hyde Park Estate’s communal gardens, local photographer and NY Institute of Photography alumnus Mel Altshuler and others are among those in the spotlight. More here: https://connaught-village.co.uk/blog_post/art-month/
On October 15, between 11am and 3pm, residents are offered a free gift with any in-store purchase from the pop-up shop Something for Everyone, which is launching that day at 8 Porchester Place.
The shop will offer affordable A3 prints, colourful cards and handcrafted glass Christmas decorations. Present this email to redeem the offer.
Profits from all sales will be split between the artists and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Opening hours will be 10 am to 6pm.
I note that the new Boxcar cafe on the old Le Pain Quotidien site has been sending out offers of a free coffee from October 15, when it is due to open, and October 31.
Also please note the date of Monday December 2nd for our AGM and Christmas Party at the Royal Lancaster London. Rachel Blake, MP for the Cities of London and Westminster, has accepted our invitation to speak to members, there will be a video about what’s new in Paddington from the BID, and much else.
