New Association logo – Summer 2021

By Antonia Cox  Published On June 18, 2021

The HPEA has unveiled a new, more modern, logo to be used as part of its brand identity. Following professional design work and a professionally-advised consultation on six different options, the new logo will be rolled out across Association materials and channels over the next few months.

Replacing the old, black-and-white triangular logo that was looking increasingly dated, the new design incorporates two local types of trees and a streetlamp, sitting on a sward of green grass. It was by far the most popular choice of 30 people who responded to a survey run by the Association, attracting 14 first choice and 11 second choice votes. The next nearest contender only attracted 6 first choice votes.

Those who responded, a combination of HPEA committee members, local Councillors, other nearby associations and significant other local stakeholders, said variously that the new logo was ?open and inviting?, a ?balanced design?, ?more artistic and beautiful?, and ?best represents the true look, feel and distinctive character of the area.?

HPEA chairman Dr Allen Zimbler said he was delighted that there had been such a clear preference and agreed that the choice reflected ?who we are and what we are trying to achieve? as it alluded to important objectives such as less traffic, air quality, and safe and attractive green spaces.

?It is also nice to see the new logo refer clearly to the date of our establishment in 1952 since we remain, to this day, the only official formally-recognised residents? association that represents the whole of the Hyde Park Estate, and represents and works on behalf of everyone who lives there,? Allen added.
