Connaught Village Green – have your say

By Antonia Cox  Published On March 19, 2023

As you may have noticed from the signs around the neighbourhood, Westminster Council is planning to improve the paved area at the junction of Connaught, Kendal and Albion Streets to make it more like a village green and better for pedestrians. You can see more information via the link below.

Here at the HPEA we want to find out what you think, in particular about the proposal to make Kendal Street one-way westbound between the Porchester Place junction and the junction with Connaught Street, to make it easier for pedestrians to cross Kendal Street at this point (by the Duke of Kendal pub).
We are therefore holding a public meeting at the Abasto cafe on Connaught Street on Tuesday 21st March from 6 to 7pm. Chairman Dr Allen Zimbler and other members of the committee will be there to hear your views and ensure they are fed through to the council, alongside the council’s own consultation exercise. It’s worth taking a look at the information on the website above so that you can see what is being proposed.

We hope to see you on Tuesday, with our apologies for the short notice.
