Cycleway consultation opens

By Antonia Cox  Published On May 18, 2023

You may have noticed new turquoise signs from Westminster City Council going up around lamp posts in the east of our area. The signs give details of the consultation on the new Hyde Park-Marylebone cycle route. The consultation opened on 15 May and continues until 11 June. The route involves widening pavements to improve cyclist safety and the closure of Stanhope Place south of Connaught Square to vehicles. This is intended to improve the safety of cyclists leaving and joining the cycle routes in Hyde Park. It was previously approved by Westminster council in 2021 and has had some modifications. You can find out more and respond here: https://westminstercycleways.co.uk/hyde-park-to-marylebone-cycleway.html
